BESS - ISDS 311782 (REGV 1767/2005) Born the 25/10-2005
after Gunillas Yen ISDS 293067 ROM (REGV1490/2001)
and Finns Roy ISDS A244896
She is littermate to Gunillas Phil.
BESS is a small but tight bitch and very fast - both physically and psychically. She's now 10 year old and is doing all kind of sheep jobs here. She's unbelievable eager at work and things can only go too slow. Since 2008 she has been constantly participating in the Danish qualification Trials - just getting better and better, and in 2011 She participated in The Nordic Championships in Finland.
Bess is a type who can be worked very precisely. She is very cooperative and love the teamwork. She has at more occations achieved top results - i.e. winning more open trials - and even a very difficult trial with a 700 meter fetch.
She's now a very expirienced trial dog, and she loves it.
BESS is both clinical and genetic CEA tested and found Normal. Her HD grades are not tested yet.
Beyond a little video from a day with training in sept. 2010
Bess is a short form of Elizabeth, often used uander queen Elizabeth I - who was known ad "The Good Queen Bess".
MEGAN - ISDS 278319 Born July 5th. 2005
After Roy ISDS 255024
and Kate ISDS 254362
We got MEGAN in 2009 from G. Brinkman in Holland, where we a couple of years before saw her at the Dutch Open Trials.
We thought we saw something exciting in Megan. And our intuition has proven right
She quickly fitted into the pack together with our other dogs.
Weve used much time getting knowing each other - included having to change one of her commands, simply because I couldnt get her work excactly enough.
Megan is very cooperative, and is incredible controllable. She is very strong willed and move even the tuffest sheep. She can take incredible pressure, and I assume she will not give in until she is fainting.
I enjoy working with her, having achieved quite good results already - being.
Danish Continental Team menber 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Starting at the 2011 World Trials.
2013 Oct. 7th. Megan delivered 4 puppies (Hemp, Spot, Kate and Gwen) - preventing her in qualifying for the 2014 Continental team.
Megan is both clinical and genetic tested free of CEA
Megan is a Welsh diminutive form of Margaret, from Greek 'margaron', "pearl", and thus means "little pearl".
CRAIG - ISDS SE/335389 ROM (Regv. 1700/2011) born 24th. sept. 2011
after Fan Regv. 1161/2007
and Phil ISDS 301837
CRAIG Is the last to enter the pack. We have got him as mating pup, And as you can see in the pedigree below, he is completely out of our own lines.
From the first day in house Craig has shown himself as a little robust gentleman with an high degree of self estimation.
My first impression of was an striking similarity with his great grandfather - my old Lad - when he was in the same age.
Craig looks to become a strong build dog - just the type we prefer, as we think this minimize the risks for injuries on legs and joints.
At his first introduction to the sheep Craig showed great self-confidence and did an impressive attempt to keep the sheep together. These properties have since developed so well with his training, that 3 days before his 2 years anniversary the change was taken to start him in a difficult open class trial with about 550 meter fetch and with sheep out of sight.
Craig did the whole course except for the single where the clock stopped him. Subsequently Ive started him in another two open class trials - whereat the last one his became 4th. And last he started in the Nordic Nurseries held over two days in Sweden getting the best OLF, the best Shed and finally ending second - Indeed a promising start on his career.
Craig is both clinical and genetic been CEA tested normal

GAEL - ISDS FO/340416 ISDS FO/340416born 25/11-2014
out of Eydstein Jensens (FO) NAP 279426
and H. Jensens Holly 286000
GAEL is a real charmer to everyone. she is strait forward in her approch to meet new things in her life.
She is a happy and well behaving little girl, and I'm looking forward to see how she'll develope.
2016 summer time:
Training is steadily going foreward maybe a little slow - I don't think pressing her foreward too much is any good.
Anyway Gael has showed her self as a natural balancer which she does very nicely together with even longer (250 m) and wide outruns.
She is very adaptive and in fact a quick learner but have to be handled with care, sensitivity and lesser pressure as Im used to with my other dogs.
Hard pressure is not her way - and is not necessary if more intelligent and meaningful training can be done - which I then try.
Gael has this spring (2016) had her debut in a Class 1 trial and ended with a very satisfying result. As the youngest dog she was 6th. out of 15.
And btw. shes not this little cute pup any more. Now shes gained more self-esteem and got her own ideas for sure.
LAD - ISDS 201994 Born d. 18. May 1992
after Ben ISDS 178302 (Palle Q. Petersen)
and Jess ISDS 195063 (Palle Q. Petersen)
7/2-2008: It is sorry to announce that today I had to say the last goodbye to LAD.
After a reign of years with good work, he moved to Thea to spend his last 7 years in retierement there. At the last he suffered a little of reumatisme but his eyes still were sparkling if he was with me to the sheep.
The last 3 days he couldn't get on his feet by himself, and because I long time ago desided that he shouldn't be kept alive and suffer in an undignifying treatment, the desicion today was to put him to rest.
I owe Thea great thanks for taking care of him througout the years. He will be missed by both of us.
LAD was my first dog, and will for ever be remembered as very special. It was with him by my side that I started my sheepdog careear, and he has paitiently been stanting up to all my failours and mistakes as a novice shepherd.
He is a son after Palle Quist Petersens BEN (who was imported from England) and Palle Quist Petersens JESS, which was after Kaj Lawsens LYNN og Per Berg Jacobsens GLEN.
LAD was born the 18th. May 1992. Since 1995 has he participated i open trials, becoming Nr. 7 at the Continental Championship 1996 as his best result. He was continuously member of the Continentalteam from 1996 till 2002. He became second at the Danish Championship Sep. 1999 - Second to my late NELL, and the year after he repeated tha same position
MEGAN - ISDS 278319 Født d. 5 Juli 2005 efter Roy ISDS 255024 og Kate ISDS 254362
Since 1992 I've worked and trained sheepdogs.
On these pages I'll tell a little about my dogs.
They're all individuals, and are with respect to each treated and handled so.
I mostly prefer to keep to my own breeding lines, and am happy to see my lines are doing quite well both with me as with other handlers.
Strong and healthy working dogs with a good and stabile temperament and a good sheep sense are my favourites, and that what I aim for.
For many years I also have trained other people and their dog. And have done clinics in Denmark, Germany, Italy, Sweden and on the Faro Islands.
I've participated in sheepdog trials with my own dogs since 1993 in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales.
For 21 years I continuously have been member of the Danish team for the Continental Championship and this year (2015) I have brought the fourth generation of our own breeding into the team.
For the World Trials I have qualified for the team 4 times - Achieving my best result with runing in the semifinals in 2008
As judged I have served sheepdog trials in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Holland, Italy and the Faro Islands.
Feel welcome to have a look around and read about my dogs.
Roy at a Sheepdog demonstration
ROY - (ISDS 244896) born the 21st. March 1999
after LAD (ISDS 201994)
(Nr. 7 ved Continental Championship 1996)
and NELL (ISDS 224851)
Monday July 14th. 2014 was the ending of Roy's career. Well over 15 years old and after a long sheepdog life , where he and I had a lot of good expiriences both here in Denmark as in many places around Europe. If the the big results on the trialfields came up the many mistakes were merely mine than Roy's who often was able to correct the situation by himself
Now he's resting on the farm next to his father LAD and Mother NELL
Roy was through many years my "number 1 dog". But after he graduatly lost his hearing around the age of 12 he could enjoy his retirement in the trialworld but still carried out some farm work.
Roy is my own breeding after my late LAD and my late NELL, (after Stewart Davidsons 1995 International Surpreme Champion CRAIG - And Danish Champion 1996 og 1999 ).
ROY was a clever and very cooperative dog with the best temperement. He was always happy but also a very sensitive, and ready to do the work asked for. He might not have been the most flashing looking dog, but he was undoubtly strong, reliable and efficient.
Throughout the years he has been a very healthy dog - the visits to the vet mostly were vaccinations.
In addition to daily work he participated in open trials. Since year 2000 - only 2 years old - and continuously up to 2010 in both inland and abroard.
He has for 10 consecutive years - from 2001 to 2010 been member of the Danish Continentalteam - in 2003 and 2006 as teamcaptain.
At the Danish Championship Sep. 2002 he became second, and at the World Sheepdog Trials in 2008 Roy was running the semifinals.
And not to forget - he has since a pup alway been with us at sheepdog demonstrations.
Roy is farther to Gunillas Phil, and to my Bess. and granddad to Craig, Gwen, Spot og Kate. And there are offsprings related to him in more European countries.
ROY was clinical eyetested for CEA og PRA without any marks.
His HD status was A - A.
BILL is strong and forward going like his mother, and is often difficult to get into an sensible working pace.
He is mostly a good listener, and has a good sense for sheep. A skill he has very much increased through working one month on an Irish farm during spring 2010.
Working with BILL has become more focused on the details and on trial skills, which always has to be repeated for him.
He is become a very appreciated helper in the daily sheep work.
With 8 year of age, he had participated in open trials in Sweden as well as in Wales, Germany, Holland and Denmark - and he has achieved some fine results. Since then BILL has been Danish team member at the Nordic Championship 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012. And Reserve team member at Continental Championship 2010.
Bill - is of English origin. It's a nickname for William which is of Old German origin, and the meaning of William is "with helmet, protection". Bill is occasionally used as an independent name.
BILL is both clinical and genetic CEA tested and found Normal.
His HD grades are B - B.
BILL - ISDS DK314796 (REGV 1257/2004) Born 27th. of January 2004.
He is after Gunillas own Yen ISDS 293067 / REGV 1490/2001
and Tony Ottesens Tweed (Zill) ISDS 240234.
Phil - ISDS 301837 is born 25th. of Oct. 2005.
He is out of my Yen (ISDS 293067 / REGV1490/2001)
and Finns Roy ISDS A244896
and littermate to Finns Bess.
Phil is a strongly built dog that is very naturall and has been easy to train. From his father, he inherited the ability to be very cooperative and to be a good listener, and from his mother, he got the urge to go straight toward the sheep in driving.
His development has been in constant progress. He has a natural understanding of the animals hes working.
As part of his training, he has been stationed as a working dog in a large German production stock with around 2000 ewes plus lambs for approx. ¾ years.
This has given him plenty of confidence and strength, but has also meant that he hasnt had time for progressing into the trial environment. Though, he has won a few Class 2 trials, and is now running open class trials.
Phil has been used as a breeding dog in both Germany and Sweden, where he has sired some promising puppies. He has passed the Swedish "Valhundsprov" in 2007.
Phil - as a boy's name (also used as girl's name Phil), is a variant of Philip (Greek), and the meaning of Phil is "horse lover".
Yess - ISDS DK/313533 Born 21st. Jan. 2011
After Gunillas Yen ISDS DK/293067 (Regv. 1490/2001)
og Arne Krags Bill ISDS DK/293099
She is mother to Mist
YESS is now nearly 3 year old and her training continue at full speed. Right from the start she has shown herself as very natural and cooperative. She work with nice natural flanks and she show happiness in her training and working which feels very positive - though she sometimes might have difficulties in controlling her eagerness in moving her sheep.
YESS seems able to cope with quite much pressure and she do surely not give in.
She now participate fully in the daily sheep work, and she has been started in some open class trials, but of course still much training lies ahead before she seriously will show up on the score lists. But I hope the ongoing training will carry out.
Yess is both clinical and genetic been CEA tested normal.
There is 2 small videos. One which in some short clip show how she was working at the Simon Mosse clinics - 14 month of age, and the other at nearly 2 years of age.

Dogs have been part of my life since early days.
My actual dogs are a result of my search for strong and healthy working dogs, that it also would be fun to run in sheep dog trials.
All my dogs are home bread.
Throughout many years Ive trained many people with their young sheepdogs
Ive done clinics in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Austria and on the Faro Islands.
And Ive participated in sheepdog trials since 1995 in Sweden, Denmark Germany Holland and Wales
- which include more times being a member of the Danish team for Continental Sheepdog Championship, the World Trials and the Nordic Championships
Please take a look around
We take your dog for training
We give clinics
Training with supervision
Lessons in the theories
Training on your own
We also do clinics
You is responsible for finding the participants - usually 6 - 10 people - for the clinic and you are responsible for all people coming
We agree on the terms of where and when the clinic will take place. You can either come here or we will meet with you at your place, or maybe somewhere else you have found. Whether it's a single day or a whole weekend. What content or theme of the course should have. and the price
The training will always be based on the individual dogs, their age and training development.
During training we will provide advice and support, and we will answer any question you may have.
Participants are each responsible for their dogs and for the welfare of the sheep.
Because of our dogs as well as other people's dogs, the dogs must be vaccinated against the common canine diseases, and against rabies.
And the dog must be insured to cover eventual damage made during the clinic.
spørgsmål du må have.
Training on yoour own
If you want to train your dog alone, we'll make an appointment when you can come here, and you rent the sheep and the field for the price agreed.
You're responsible for the training yourself - and for as well your dog as the sheep you're using.
We do expect you to have good controle on your dog that the training is safe for the sheep.
Otherwise we'll suggest you're training with our supervision.
Because of our dogs as well as other dogs coming here, your dog must be vaccinated against all normal dog diceases and of course against Rabies.
the dog has to be insured to cover eventual damage made under training.
In The Herding School we provide sheep dog training
- mostly Border Collies, but also other breeds are welcome.
The training is always made individually. The training can be solely for you and your dog - or within a group of more people.
We offer training at all levels starting at puppy- and basic training going up to advanced trial training.
Sometimes we have clinics with different trainers from abroad. Please keep informed.
Beneth you can see the different possibilities we normal offers, but if you have other training requests, we'll try to fulfill those if possible.
